Span 3 - We received the study guide for the final exam. We did a powerpoint presentation over Christmas in Mexico and watched a video over typical traditions and customs.
Span 1 & 2 - We continued our web quest (Navidad en Mexico) and turned it in for points. We also started working on final exam study guides. EVEN IF YOU ARE EXEMPT, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE STUDY GUIDE FOR POINTS! See the absent box if you were absent.
Span 3 - We received the study guide for the final exam. We did a powerpoint presentation over Christmas in Mexico and watched a video over typical traditions and customs. Span 1 and Span 2 - We handed in foldables and took our chapter test. Afterwards we discussed Christmas traditions in Mexico and sang Spanish carols.
Span 3 - We reviewed for tomorrow's chapter test tomorrow. Span 1 - Due to a number of students being gone for a field trip, remaining students played a Spanish trivia game in groups.
Span 2- We reviewed the present progressive tense and took notes over its irregular forms. We played the dice game in small groups for practice and also did notes over Direct Object Pronouns in our foldables. Span 3 - We discussed the rules of using adjectives, completed a worksheet and began review for this unit's test. Span 1 - We reviewed the verb SER (to be) by putting the verb chart in our foldables. We then did a translation activity with a partner in review for Thursday's test.
Span 2 - We took the open-note quiz over irregular commands and then began notes over the present progressive tense. Span 3 - We completed a reading comprehension activity and read a story over immigration experiences in the USA. We also began notes on adverbs. Span 1 - We discussed La Tomatina, an annual event in Spain and watched a short video clip. We also reviewed the plural of adjectives and did a partner activity.
Span 2 - We did a reivew of irregular commands in preparation for tomorrow's quiz and continued work on our Rules of the Road command posters, due today. Span 3 - We watched the next episode of Destinos and completed an activity while viewing for points. Span 1 - We took notes over the plural of adjectives and did two activities for review.
Span 2 - We took notes over irregular commands and began a poster project (Reglas del camino/Rules of the Road). For this project you will need 10 affirmative commands with an illustration. See me for poster paper. Span 1 - We handed in our health posters and took our vocabulary quiz over dinner foods and health. We reviewed the verb DEBER, took a health assessment in Spanish and ended the hour with partner work.
Span 2 - We took our vocabulary quiz over driving and directions and completed our map/direction project in small groups. Span 3 - We took our quizzes over immigration vocab and POR/PARA. We also reviewed time expressions and completed a review worksheet. Span 1 - We took notes over the verb DEBER (TO SHOULD) and used it in creating health posters. Here are the requirements for the poster project:
HEALTH POSTER / LA SALUD - Poster must contain 10 sentences using the verb DEBER (Tú debes = you should / Tú no debes = you should not) telling people what they should or should not do to be healthy. Each sentence must have an illustration or photo depicting the action. See me for poster paper! Span 2 - We took notes over Tú Commands when giving directions. We each designed a map that we will use to dictate directions in Spanish to a buddy. Span 3 - We reviewed the uses of POR & PARA using whiteboards and a worksheet. We also began notes on time expressions. Span 1 - We created folables for Chapter 3B (Dinner and Health). We read a skit and answered comprehension questions for points. We also did several vocab review activities in preparation for Thursday's quiz.

We also did several vocab review activities in preparation for Thursday's quiz. Span 3 - We reviewed yesterday's homework and continued working with POR/PARA.
