Today all classes did a Día de los Muertos themed art project (Spanish 1 & 2 created calaca masks, and Spanish 3 designed calaveras de azúcar!)
***2nd hour took the "Book of Life" quiz and handed in their foldables for the clothing shopping unit. Span 1 - We finished Coco and took our quiz over the movie. We also handed in our foldables (La Sala de Clases) and read a story for comprehension points.
Span 2 - Second hour had most students gone on a field trip. No make up work! Fourth hour took the quiz over Book of Live and we collected foldables. Span 3 - No make up work due to many students out on a field trip. Span 1 - We continued watching Coco as part of our Día de los Muertos unit.

Span 2 and 3 - We began watching the movie THE BOOK OF LIFE as part of our Día de los Muertos unit. There will be a quiz! Span 1, 2, 3 - Today (Friday) all classes completed a Día de los Muertos web quest, available on Google Classroom.
Span 1 - We played a Día de los Muertos Kahoot and watched a documentary over the holiday.
Span 2 - We reviewed Demonstrative adjectives with a drawing activity and watched a documentary over Día de los Muertos. Span 3 - We watched a documentary over Día de los Muertos. Span 1 - We filled out a graphic organizer using the verb ESTAR (see the make up box) and we also reviewed this verb with a whiteboard activity. We began discussing the history and traditions surrounding the holiday Día de los Muertos.
Span 2 - We took notes in our foldables. over Demonstrative Adjectives. We began discussing the history and traditions surrounding the holiday Día de los Muertos and played a review Kahoot. Span 3 - We played vocab bingo with our new vocabulary (La Amistad). We discussed the Ofrenda Shoebox project and began working on it in the library lab. Span 1 - We completed a partner activity to review our classroom items vocab. We also took notes in our foldables over the verb ESTAR (to be) and completed the ESTAR practice activity on google classroom.
Span 2 - We played Quizizz to review our preterite verb endings. We also completed a partner interview using the preterite tense and our clothing shopping vocab. Span 3 - We took vocab notes over the next unit (La Amistad/Friendship). See the make up box for your handout. We discussed the history and traditions of Día de los Muertos and played a Muertos-themed Kahoot to review. Span 1 - We reviewed vocabulary with a game of Quizlet Live. We also completed two practice activities on google classroom using our Location Words.
Span 2 - We reviewed the preterite tense with our rap song and whiteboards. We completed an activity on google classroom (More Practice with the Preterite) and also participated in a class mixer using our clothing vocab. Span 3 - We finished reading "La Tumba" and answered comprehension questions over the last chapters. (These questions were given to you a while back - if you cannot find them, please see me for an extra copy.) Span 1 - We completed and handed in our poster project (La Sala de la Clases). If you are a student who was absent or needed extra time, please turn in your poster on Monday.
Span 2 - We reviewed our shopping vocab with Quizlet Live. We also reviewed our Preterite Rap Song and ended the hour in small groups with the Dice game. Span 3 - Due to many students being out for Coronation practice, we had an in-class work day. |
