Viernes/Friday

8/30/2013

 
Spanish 1 - We reviewed asking How are you? and took notes on additional responses. We also began writing a partner skit which we will perform on Tuesday.


Spanish 2 - We completed activities that reviewed SER & adjectives and took a pop quiz.  We also did a writing activity, describing our classmates.


Spanish 3 - We presented our powerpoint speeches today.

Spanish 1 - We took our alphabet quiz, practiced short conversations with yesterday's vocab and took more vocabulary notes over asking How are you?


Spanish 2- We did several speaking activities to reinforce our review of SER and adjectives.  We also did a partner activity in which we wrote descriptive sentences of celebrities.


Spanish 3 - We practiced answering questions in preparation of tomorrow's presentations, filled out Estudiante de la Semana forms, and began vocabulary notes for our first book chapter.

Spanish 1 - We reviewed our alphabet in preparation for tomorrow's quiz.  We also received a handout on basic greetings and began creating short conversations.  Please see the makeup box for a handout and get notes from a buddy.


Spanish 2 - We continued highlighting adjectives and discussing yesterday's article "Somos Latinos" and answered comprehension questions after reading. We then reviewed common adjectives from last year, putting them in our foldables.


Spanish 3 - We continued working on our powerpoint presentations which are due on Friday.

Martes/Tuesday

Spanish 1 - We reviewed the alphabet by learning a vowel song, playing hangman & a spelling bee and completing a partner activity.  The alphabet quiz will be on Thursday.


Spanish 2 - We discussed and handed in the completed questions from yesterday's article.  We then created an "Intro to Spanish 2" foldable and took notes over SER and adjectives for review.  We began reading an interview together and hi-lighting the adjectives, which we will continue tomorrow.


Spanish 3 - Today we received a handout over possible questions that I will ask you during your presentation.  I also checked to make sure that your 10 vocabulary word were completed.  We worked in the library creating our powerpoint presentations for Thursday.

Lunes/Monday

Spanish 1 - We discussed cognates and took a "quiz" over Spanish loan words.  We then began learning the Spanish alphabet . If you were absent, please get the alphabet handout from the makeup box and see a buddy for alphabet notes.

Spanish 2 - We read an article over teens in Spain and answered comprehension questions, which we will review and hand in tomorrow. We also refreshed our memory of common classroom expressions.

Spanish 3 - We handed in the group questions that we completed on Friday over the story packet.  I gave a powerpoint presentation over my hobbies as an example of the type of presentation you will be giving later in the week.  Tomorrow 10 activities in the infinitive form are due.

Spanish 1 - We did a classroom mixer and took notes over classroom expressions.

Spanish 3 - We began reading a short story both together as a class and in small groups.  We also answered comprehension questions which we will discuss and hand in on Monday.

Spanish 1 - We learned classroom expressions today with a handout and completed a classroom mixer.

Spanish 2 - We completed a classroom mixer in Spanish and took a practice review quiz of what we remember from last year.

Happy 2013-14 School Year! Today all classes received a seating chart, signed up for the birthday list, reviewed classroom rules and grading procedures and played a "welcome back" game.

    Don't forget to check the make up box on the bookshelf when you get back in order to collect handouts or worksheets that you missed.

    Also remember that if you missed a test or quiz, YOU are responsible for arranging a time with me to make it up (before/after school or during academic lab).
