Span 2 - We took notes over the imperfect vs. presterite and their clue words and phrases. We then began a poster project titled "Un Día Festivo." If you were absent today, there is a copy of the powerpoint instructions in the make up box. Span 3 - We read the love story of "Popo y Ixta" and answered comprehension questions after reading. Span 1 - We took our vocabulary quiz and finished the written activity on pg. 206 of the book to hand in. We then began work on a poster project using the future tense (see the make up box for a hand out with directions.)
Span 2 - We created a foldable for Chapter 4B. We also read a skit from the book and answered comprehension questions on pg. 215 for points. Span 3 - We created a foldable for the new chapter (Viajes y Paisajes), completed a vocab worksheet and began a paragraph over a favorite trip. Span 1 - We reviewed the verb JUGAR with a warm-up worksheet and the dice game in small groups. We also took notes in our foldables over "future plans" and began a written activity on pg. 206 of the book.
Span 2 - We continued with our Show N' Tell speeches and then took notes over vocabulary for Chapter 4B (Special Occasions). See the make up box for the vocab sheet. Span 3 - We read a story together for reading comprehension practice, then took notes over our new vocabulary (Paisajes y Viajes). See the make up box for the vocab sheet. Span 1 - We took notes in our foldable over the verb JUGAR (to play) and did a practice activity (pg. 208, act 18.)
Span 2 - We handed in our foldables, took our chapter 4A test (childhood) and began Show n' Tell speeches. Span 3- We took the chapter test and handed in our foldables. Span 1 - We began class with speaking points from activities in the book. We continued work on Friday's skit and handed it in for points. We also played vocab bingo to review our current vocabulary.
Span 2 - We each set up an Edmodo account for this semester and discussed what to expect on tomorrow's chapter test over the childhood unit. We played whiteboards for review. If you were absent, please do not forget that tomorrow we will be doing our Show n' Tell speeches, so please bring your visual aid. Span 3 - We worked on a study guide for tomorrow's chapter test and continued the next episode of Destinos. We completed a worksheet while viewing. Span 1 - We made foldables for Chapter 4B. We also read a skit from the book (pg. 200) and answered questions from the book. If you were absent, you will need to make up this assignment during an academic lab. We took notes in our foldables on how to invite someone out and began work on a partner skit.
Span 2 - We reviewed IOPs with a written activity from the book (pg. 199). We then worked on our Show n' Tell speeches (notecards due today.) Span 3 - We reviewed backward verbs with a worksheet and sentences. We also read an article on Mariachi music and learned a song. Span 1 - We collected our 4A foldables and took our Chapter 4A test (Places). We then checked yesterday's questions over the Miguelito story and took new vocab notes. Span 2 - We took notes over Indirect Object Pronouns in our foldables and began writing a brainstorming copy of our show n' tell speeches. (We will present next Wednesday.) Span 3 - We watched the next episode of Destinos and completed a worksheet while viewing. We also created family tree sketches based on the Castillo family. Span 1 - We logged into new Edmodo accounts for the semester. If you were absent, you will need to see me for the group code. We discussed what to expect on tomorrow's chapter test and then read and answered questions from our Miguelito story.
Span 2 - We checked and handed in yesterday's worksheet over irregular imperfect verbs. We also practiced using the imperfect tense with a partner worksheet. Finally, we discussed the directions for our Show N' Tell speech, which we will start writing tomorrow. Span 3 - We presented our emotion powerpoints. We then took notes over "backwards verbs" in our foldables. Span 1 - We took our vocab quiz (Places) and reviewed question words and the verb IR (to go) with in-class activities. We ended the hour by reading the first chapter of a new story "Miguelito." Please see the make up box for your copy.
