Spanish 1, 2, 3 - Today we continued watching the Spanish movie. Students who are taking the final can meet with me at my desk for one-on-one studying with me.
Spanish 1, 2, 3 - Today we wrapped up our study guide review and began a Spanish-themed movie as my Christmas present to you!
Spanish 1 - Today we took the test over places and the verb IR (second hour has already taken this test), and began working on the study guide for the final exam. Study guides MUST be completed even if you are not taking the final because I will be giving completion points for having the work done. If you were absent, the study guide is in the make up box.
Spanish 2 - Today we took the test over street directions and began working on the study guide for the final exam. Spanish 3 - Today we did a crossword review of our Christmas vocabulary and Mexican traditions. We then took a short quiz over our vocab and the notes that we took from the powerpoint last week. Finally, we received a study guide for the final exam. Spanish 1 - Today we continued to work on creating questions in Spanish. We watched a video clip and did a partner worksheet to reinforce what we learned yesterday. We ended the hour with a Spanish Christmas song.
Spanish 2 - Today we worked some more with the present progressive tense. We watched a video clip, looked at prompt photos for oral points, played the dice game and designed our own worksheets, which we will have a buddy complete tomorrow. Spanish 3 - Today we did Christmas geocaching, Spanish-style! Spanish 1 - Today we took notes over how to ask questions in Spanish. If you were absent, you will need to get these notes from a classmate. We then did a written activity, unscrambling the parts of a Spanish question and translating it into English. We closed out the hour by listening to the song "La Bamba" which uses one of the words we've frequently seen this chapter, para (in order to).
Spanish 2 - Today we collected and discussed the commands you wrote for the Personal Butler activity. We then had a powerpoint presentation over how to use the present progressive tense in Spanish. If you were absent, you will need to get these notes from a classmate. We wrapped up the hour with a worksheet to practice what we learned. Spanish 3 - Today we received back the graded copies of Friday's test. We then continued our discussion about Christmas in Mexico with a powerpoint presentation during which we took notes for a possible, upcoming quiz. Spanish 1 - Today we reviewed the two different uses of IR - going places and going to do activities. I handed back the paragraphs that we wrote during class yesterday. If you lost points on a sentence, you must correct it and write the REASON WHY you corrected it as well. When you hand in the corrected copy, you will regain your points. (If you were absent today, your rough sraft is in the make up box. We also played whiteboards for review.
Spanish 2 - Today we continued to discuss the use of affirmative tú commands. We watched a video clip for review, did a written activity in our foldables and started on a mini-project titled "Mi mayordomo personal/My personal butler." This handout is in the make up box; you can see me for directions. Also please see me to make up the DOP quiz. Spanish 3 - Today we began taking notes over Christmas vocabulary/traditions in both the US and Mexico. There is a handout in the make up box. Spanish 1 - Today we reviewed the formula " IR + a + infinitive" and took notes over how to use IR when talking about going to a place. We wrote a paragraph using this verb to discuss our upcoming plans for Christmas break and also did a crossword puzzle. For homework we are translating the clues into English.
Spanish 2 - We reviewed how to translate DOP sentences from Spanish into English in prepartation for a quiz tomorrow. We then took powerpoint notes on how to make regular and irregular tú commands, and afterwards did a practice activity using these new notes. Spanish 3 - Today we watched the next episode of 'Destinos" and took a quiz after viewing Spanish 1 - Today we recieved back the chapter tests that we took on Wednesday. We then completed an activity for oral points and also an audio activity. Afterwards, we took a short vocab quiz over the new vocab we are learning this unit (places). We ended the hour by completing notes from yesterday's powerpoint on the verb IR and also wrote practice sentences using that verb.
Spanish 2 - Today we started by looking at a street map of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and writing directions to the landmark of your choosing. I then read a few of these written directions aloud, and we followed along on the map to see if we reached the correct location. Afterward, we took a short vocab quiz. We also reviewed the new DOPs we learned yesterday and practiced sentence translations with them. Spanish 3 - Today we took our Chapter 10 test. See me to make this up if you were absent, Spanish 1 - Today we read a skit from the book and answered comprehension questions (which are in the make up box). We also completed activities for oral points and began a powerpoint over the verb IR (to go). If you were absent, you will also need to make a foldable, which we did today.
