Hours 4, 5 and 6 did not meet today due to the heat dismissal.

Spanish 1 - Today we translated our names into Spanish and continued to review basic conversational skills with speaking activities. We also completed a partner worksheet which we will later collect. Spanish 2 - We took our quiz over SER and adjectives. We took notes in our foldables over common verbs that we learned last year, completed a writing activity and began a worksheet for homework over the present tense. Spanish 3 - We took our quiz over boot verbs and vocab. We reviewed the preterit tense with a song and began notes over irregular preterit verbs in our foldables. We began a worksheet over the preterit tense which we will collect tomorrow. Spanish 1 - Today we took a quiz over the alphabet. We reviewed the Greetings/Introduction vocab we learned yesterday and began notes on asking "How are you?" For homework, we are writing one formal skit and one familiar skit using the new notes we took today.
Spanish 2 - We did several written and speaking activities to review for tomorrow's quiz over SER and adjectives. We also began notes over the present tense in our foldables. Spanish 3 - We completed a warm-up worksheet to review for tomorrow's quiz over vocab and boot verbs. We played a verb relay and then took notes over the preterit tense in our foldables. Spanish 1 - Today we reviewed the alphabet in preparation of tomorrow's quiz. We also discussed study tips for learning Spanish. We received a handout on greetings/introductions and took notes. We ended class by writing a skit which we will hand in tomorrow.
Spanish 2 - We reviewed the verb SER and adjective rules. We did an activity for oral points, followed by a partner writing activity. We completed a reading selection from the book and answered comprehension questions afterwards. Spanish 3 - We checked and handed in last night's assignment on boot verbs. We reviewed the present tense and then followed writing prompts to create a pre-diary entry which we shared aloud. Spanish 1 - Today we reviewed the definition of cognates and did an activity on Spanish loan words. We also received a handout on the Spanish alphabet and went over pronunciation and additional letters. There will be a quiz on Wednesday.

We then reviewed adjectives from last year, read a skit and completed a written activity which we handed in. Spanish 3 - We finished powerpoint notes over chapter 8 vocabulary and hilighted the boot verbs. We reviewed the present tense and began a worksheet for homework. Only hours 3, 4 and 6 met today due to a heat early dismissal.

Spanish 1, 2, 3 - Today all classes were assigned seats, recieved an informational handout on class rules and grading procedures, received restroom passes and filled out a notecard about themselves. |
