Span 1 , 2 , 3 - We began our Día de los Muertos unit with a powerpoint of the history of the holiday and also watched a documentary video.
Span 1 - We took notes over AR verbs in our foldables. Please get these notes from a classmate if you were absent, as these notes will be very important for the next chapters we work on.
Span 2 - We did a powerpoint project (El mercado de ropa) to review our current vocabulary. If you were absent, please check your school email for instructions on this project. Span 3 - Due to a field trip, we worked on Spanish trivia with freerice.com. Span 1 - We took our vocabulary quiz over classes & class hours. We also reviewed Spanish pronouns and how to use them to replace names.
Span 2 - We created foldables for our current unit and played vocab bingo to review new vocabulary. Span 3 - We checked last night's homework and continued work with our preterite/imperfect packet. Span 1 - We reviewed class & hour vocabulary in preparation for tomorrow's vocab quiz. We also took notes over pronouns in our foldables and completed the activities on pg. 83 of the textbook for practice.
Span 2 - We took our open-note test over the Daily Routine unit and then handed in our foldables. We also took notes over next unit's vocabulary. Please get the sheet from the make up tray. Span 3 - We did a reading comprehension worksheet over the last chapters of La Tumba. We also worked on our imperfect vs. preterite packets. Span 1 - We took notes on classroom adjectives in our foldables and then worked on a powerpoint project over our current class schedules. If you were absent, please check your school email for details and instructions over the project.
Span 2 - We discussed what to expect on tomorrow's chapter test and completed review activities to prepare. Span 3 - We read the final chapters of La Tumba and wrote story summaries in small groups. Span 1, 2, 3 - Today all classes participated in an art project. We made Ojos de Dios (God's Eyes) to gift to the local police department and fire department in honor of Make-A-Difference Day on October 22.
Span 1 - We read a skit on pg. 74 of the textbook and answered comprehension questions for points. We ended the hour with vocab bingo.
Span 2 - Due to PSAT testing, we played Spanish translation trivia. Span 3 - We completed a worksheet in small groups over chapters 4-6 of La Tumba. We also took notes over Preterite vs. Imperfect in our foldables. Span 1 - We completed a partner worksheet and then took our vocabulary quiz over personality vocab. We handed in our foldables and began vocab notes for our next unit. We also created a foldable for Chapter 2A. See the make up tray for the vocab sheet.
Span 2 - We took our midpoint assessment and reviewed SER & ESTAR with a worksheet. If you were absent, you will need to make up the midpoint assessment in order to get your participation points. Span 3 - We took our vocabulary quiz (art vocab) and began reading chapters 4 - 6 of La Tumba. Span 1 - We presented our diamond poems to the class and handed them in to be graded. There will be a vocab quiz tomorrow over our personality vocabulary.
Span 2 - We took notes in our foldables over SER & ESTAR. We also reviewed our vocabulary with whiteboards. Span 3 - We finished the Frida Kahlo documentary and reviewed our vocabulary with whiteboards. We will have a vocab quiz tomorrow. Span 1 - We did a review activity on pg. 62 of the textbook. We then began work on a poem project, which we will present on Monday. The format for the poem is on pg. 59 of the textbook. We also added four magazine photos to our poem to make a collage representing your personality. See the make up box for a handout.
Span 2 - We took our vocabulary quiz over the daily routine vocab. We then used a Venn diagram to sort our vocabulary into three categories: actions you do in the morning, actions you do at night, and actions you do both at morning and night. From this, we created a poster and conjugated the reflexive verbs into the "yo" form. We added one magazine photo to each category. Span 3 - We took notes over the symbolism in Frida Kahlo's art and analyzed some of her paintings. We also began a documentary over Frida's life. |
