We then began vocabulary notes and created a foldable for our new unit.

Span 3 - We completed a study guide for tomorrow's chapter test and read the next chapter of Don Quijote. Span 1 - We did a partner interview using SER & ESTAR then continued work on our poster projects (due today).
Span 2 - We worked in groups to create charts for irregular preterite verbs, completed a writing activity and began creating a "game board" for tomorrow's dice game. Span 3 - We finished "Riley y las Chicas," answered our questions in the subjunctive tense and then did a whiteboard review. Today all classes worked on poster projects. Here are the individual requirements according to class:
Span 1 - SER/ESTAR poster: Must contain the TOPPP ELF situations and which verb (Ser or Estar) goes with each. Must contain a magazine or internet photos that represent each TOPPP ELF situation. Must contain an example sentence for each TOPPP ELF situation. Span 2 - Vocabulary collage: Must contain magazine or internet photos to represent 12 current vocabulary words. Spanish vocab should be labeled next to each picture and spelled correctly. Span 3 - Vocabulary collage: Must contain magazine or internet photos to represent 15 current vocabulary words. Spanish vocab should be labeled next to each picture and spelled correctly. Span 1 - We took our vocabulary quiz for 5B (restaurants & physical description), then took notes over the uses of SER & ESTAR.
Span 2 - No class due to ACTs testing. Span 3 - We watched the next episode of Destinos and completed a viewing comprehension activity. Span 1 - We reviewed the verb TRAER and did a group whiteboard activity in preparation of tomorrow's vocab quiz.
Span 2 - We took a quiz over the verb DOLERSE and did a group whiteboard activity in preparation of Thursday's vocab quiz. Span 3 - We did a warm-up activity to review the subjunctive, continued reading "Riley y las chicas" and answered questions about the story by writing subjunctive sentences. |
